 How do you get confident talking to a camera/filming in public?

The truth is, it will take some time. For at least a year,  it is normal for beginners to feel uncomfortable talking to a camera, and it shows.  Your  first year on YouTube will be challenging but  a learning journey. I now feel completely at ease in front of the camera, but the only way I got here was though practice, lot of wins and losses, but  and put up with the awkwardness for a while.

Filming in public requires experience as well, although I doubt one ever feel completely comfortable blogging while standing next to a stranger. My recommendation for chatting to your camera in public is to do so while walking: that way, if anyone gives you strange glances, you'll be going past them anyhow, and you'll probably never see them again!
